A DROP ROLE STATEMENT MIGHT TRIGGER ERROR TRYING TO WRITE A LOG RECORD EXCEEDING MAXIMUM SIZE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
DROP ROLE statement triggers invalidation of packages that have a dependency on the role being dropped. This triggers writing a log record for the invalidation. When a larger number of packages needs to be invalidated, the size of this log record might exceed the maximum allowed, resulting in FODC_ForceDatabaseShutdown. The following messages can be used to identify this APAR. 2021-11-25-08.35.36.987467+060 I1628282E751 LEVEL: Error PID : 79761 TID : 47896137295616 PROC : db2sysc 0 INSTANCE: XXXX NODE : 000 DB : APPHDL : 0-35325 APPID: UOWID : 59 ACTID: 1 AUTHID : HOSTNAME: EDUID : 31304 EDUNAME: db2agent FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, data protection services, sqlpWriteLR, probe:1000 MESSAGE : ZRC=0x8710001D=-2028994531=SQLP_LERR "Fatal Logic Error" DIA8526C A fatal error occurred in data protection services.
